香の森 Kanomori Gin

Distilled in Nagano, the same location like Mars Shinshu Distillery, under Mount Komagatake. Using the famous Japanese spicebush, Kuromoji as its key ingredients, with other 18 botanicals. The Kanomori Gin is blended with 2 liquids distilled separately, one with only the branches of Kuromoji, and one with other botanicals, in order to create their unique and outstanding aroma in Kanomori Gin.


Unlike other popular London Dry Gin, Kanomori is with much lighter and refreshing nosing, comes with aromas like lemon and pomelo juice. On palate, it first gives you an explosive sweetness, then hints of mint and citrus peel. A very full-bodied one, and rarely great for neat, and it is of course great with mild tonic, but I would recommend Gin Soda, not to cover Kanomori's extraordinary flavour.
