Chorlton Whisky - Ruadh Maor (Glenturret) 8 Year Old

On nose it reminds us of being in an old garden shed on a hot day - warm, earthy, hints of lawn mower oil, smoky, with bacon crisps, honey and chamomile.

The palate is smoky and deeply savoury - barbecued meats, charred herbs, bitter oranges, yet it is slightly balanced by a lovely honeyed taste at the end.

Pretty drinkable and enjoyable, even neat at a robust 62.5%.
