Macallan Edition No.5

The Macallan Edition No.5 is its own homage to the diversity and complexity of natural colour, it also celebrates both The Macallan’s commitment to natural colour and the intricate whisky making process.

The Macallan collaborates with Pantone Color Institute™ on this project, the world renowned colour masters created a uniquely bold shade of purple, reflecting an enigmatic, multi-faceted and intricate combination of red and blue. Purple is the rainbow’s most complex colour, at the same time highlights the complex process involved in The Macallan’s whisky making.

Matured in American oak casks, the aroma of Edition No.5 is full of vanilla and toffee, with notes of oak, nutmeg, ginger and pear. While on palate is fresh and sweet, with caramel moving into poached peaches and ripe pear, quickly followed by a toffee sweetness with light oak spices in the form of nutmeg.
