Liquid Treasures - Islay Malt (Caol Ila) 10 Year Old 2008 10th Anniversary

Bottled for the 10th Anniversary of Liquid Treasures. Matured in Bourbon Barrel and this 10-year-old Caol Ila is a young beast!

The nose is raw and peat, with lots of brine, green olives, smoky oats, burnt grass, along with hay, hints of new tyres. Soft lemon and a touch of burnt vanilla custard adds complexity on it. The initial palate is sweeter than the nose, and it turns into smoky and peaty very quickly. Tarry, with few lemon-y notes, grapefruits etc. A long and peaty finish with a few salty notes, liquorice.
