Whistlepig 12 Year Old Old World Wine Cask Finished Rye Whiskey

WhistlePig purchased their farm in 2007, a relatively young distillery, and they spent 5 years renovating the dairy barn. Since then they aim to make finest Rye Whiskey, beginning with blending with a stock of 10 year old whiskey they got from a Canadian distillery.

Whistlepig 12 year old is finished in 3 types of wine barrels, Madeira (63%), Sauternes (30%) and Port (7%), creating a fruity rye whiskey with plums, raisins, dates, honey, caramel and vanilla.
