Laphroaig 25 Year Old for Aqua Vitae Cask 5124

Bottled in 2017, this cask was donated by Prince Charles for a charity auction. Allen Chen, founder of Aqua Vitae, had won the bid - profits from the auction were donated to residents on Islay. With a trendy and remarkably black label and wooden box, this 25 YO beauty attracts attention from connoisseurs.

The initial nosing is oily - along with hints of hay and fruits, maritime and smoke. More fruity notes are developed later on - peach alike. On the palate it is peaty, then there are liquorice, candied fruits as well. The aftertaste is sweet and fruity - with a long lingering finish!
