Chorlton Whisky - Croftengea 13 Year Old 2007

A peated single malt from Loch Lomond. On the nose it smells like a glass of banana milkshake - along with notes of nougat, almond, peat. Some ginger notes and mango jam are developed later. On the palate it is smoky, with soft ginger, fudgy chocolate and loads of dried mango. The finish is sweet and lemony, with a bit of salty liquorice. This 13 YO is a sweet and gentle example from Croftengea.
