Springing fully-formed into official existence in 1779 as Islay's first distillery.
Heady wafts of coastal bonfire smoke, sea-salt, oily brine, orange oils, chalky minerality with just a hint of red fruits. The mouthfeel is very silky, whirling together a fragrantly woody smokiness with a herbaceous honeyed element surround its heart of dark peatiness on the finish.
Perilously easy drinking for newcomers!
