In this hot Summer, Chorlton brings you something fruity yet in different styles, a Tormore 28 YO 1992, Caol ila 12 YO 2009 and a Glen Elgin 12 YO 2009.

Begins with a complex, easy drinking Tormore! It’s aroma is full of red apples, orange, lemon & grapefruit syrup, then comes with more sweetness like marmalade, mixed tropical fruit juice and banana chips. The palate is sweet, lightly syrupy, waxy and extremely fruity. A clean finish full of mandarins.

And the Caol Ila we have this time is very different with its previous releases! Matured in a hogshead cask but with deep amber colour. On the nose, it’s with smoked meats, fishes and classic tars and nutty notes from Caol Ila. The palate has a soft mouthfeel, feeling older than what it is, with umami character and plenty of sweetness. Ends with a long finish, with a balance of sweet, salty and smoky.

Lastly we have the lighter Glen Elgin one, with cinnamon sugar, raisin and green fruits like apple and lime. Thick texture on the palate, with malted milk biscuits, peachy fruits and lemon peel. The finish is malty and sweet.
