Kavalan is a whisky brand based in Yilan, Taiwan, founded by the King Car Group in 2005. Within just a decade, it rose to global prominence and is now recognized as one of Asia’s leading single malt producers. Benefiting from Taiwan’s hot and humid climate, Kavalan whiskies mature rapidly, achieving rich complexity even at a young age. The brand name is derived from the indigenous Kavalan people, reflecting a strong cultural connection to its origin.

Kavalan is renowned for its expertise in cask management and blending, using Sherry casks, Port casks, and Wine casks to craft expressions like the cask strength Solist series. These whiskies feature intense notes of dried fruit, nuts, and spice. With meticulous distillation and fermentation control, the distillery has won numerous international awards.
