Benriach

Located near Elgin in the Speyside region, Benriach Distillery was founded in 1898 and is known for its versatile style. In addition to producing classic unpeated expressions, it also creates peated single malts—a rarity in Speyside—making it one of the few distilleries in the region offering both profiles. Benriach also embraces cask diversity, utilizing Bourbon, Sherry, Rum, and Port casks to deliver a wide range of innovative flavors.

The distillery experienced a revival in 2004 when it was acquired by Billy Walker and his partners, launching numerous single casks, cask strength, and experimental releases that garnered global attention. Now owned by Brown-Forman, Benriach has maintained its innovative edge and diverse offerings.
