Tomatin
Tomatin, once Scotland’s largest malt distillery with 23 stills in the 1970s, was purchased in 1986 by Japan’s Takara Shuzo—making it the first Japanese-owned Scotch distillery. Since then, Tomatin has shifted its focus to single malts with a growing reputation for quality.
Its fruity spirit benefits from first-fill Bourbon and Sherry cask maturation, adding depth and structure. Recent innovations include the peated Cù Bòcan series, while core expressions like the 12, 14, and 18 Year Olds showcase a sweet and tropical Highland character.
