Strathmill
Originally a flour mill called Glenisla, Strathmill was converted into a distillery in 1892 in the historic town of Keith, known for milling and weaving. It became a key component of J&B blended whisky. Its production features long fermentation and a unique purifier pipe in the stills, lending the whisky a gentle fruitiness and an olive oil-like smoothness.
Now owned by Diageo, Strathmill functions primarily as a blending component supplier, with only one official single malt release under the Flora & Fauna 12 Year Old. Thanks to its purifier-equipped stills, the spirit has more depth than typical light Speyside malts, offering a rare and nuanced twist for whisky lovers.
