Yoichi 10 Year Old

The 10-year-old expression from the Yoichi Distillery in Hokkaido, which was discontinued in 2015, relaunched in 2023 with an annual output of approximately 9,000 bottles. It remains in high demand and short supply. The relaunched version retains impressive quality, and its floral and fruity notes combined with a light smokiness are likely to continue winning fans.

On the nose, it offers green apple, citrus, and a faint floral hint, accompanied by traces of banana and vanilla sweetness, unfolding into a subtle buttery saltiness, sandalwood and light smokiness. On the palate, it starts with a peach-like sweetness, transitioning to citrus and barley notes, with a creamy texture and a touch of oiliness; the smokiness becomes more pronounced here. The finish lingers with citrus peel, spice, and a gradually intensifying peatiness.
