Auchentoshan

Auchentoshan is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that practices exclusive triple distillation. Located in the Lowlands, this technique yields a new-make spirit at around 81% ABV, known for its citrusy brightness and cereal undertone. The short fermentation process gives its whisky a clean and grainy base, which helps balance the cask influence during maturation.

Due to its high-strength spirit, Auchentoshan expressions can be easily overwhelmed by wood, making older bottlings notably softer and more rounded.
