North British

Located in Edinburgh, North British is one of Scotland’s leading grain distilleries, founded in 1885 by John Crabbie and Andrew Usher. It specializes in corn-based grain whisky and supplies spirit for numerous famous blends.

Co-owned by Edinburgh Whisky Ltd and Diageo, the distillery operates with massive capacity and ongoing modernization. Rarely bottled as a single grain, its spirit is valued for its clean, soft profile—central to Scotland’s blending industry.
