Casky’s Finest Selection has always been the pride of bar owner Vincent, and this 25-year-old Old Pulteney is the first post-2000 vintage to lead the lineup. While recent official distillery bottlings have left many Old Pulteney (OP) enthusiasts hesitant to set high expectations, this Y2K-distilled gem is proof enough that OP's quality remains exceptional.

Nose: Notes of kombu (seaweed), sea breeze, butter cookies, bacon, and a hint of mango sweetness.
Palate: The layers of flavors are distinct; it begins with a blend of sweet and salty notes, followed by the bitterness of almonds and citrus peel. It is full-bodied with a rich, oily texture.
Finish: Leaves behind a gentle hint of tobacco smoke, with lingering toasted almonds and citrus peel.

Independent Bottlings (IB) of Old Pulteney are few and far between, and peated expressions are even rarer. If you're interested, this is definitely one not to miss.
