Selected by Elixir Distillers, this 48-year-old Carsebridge was distilled in 1973. After maturing for nearly half a century in a Sherry Butt, it was released as part of The Whisky Trail’s Silhouette Series.

Nose: A rich and fruity aromatic profile featuring figs, citrus, banana, and cherries. Along with woody notes, a touch of salty savouriness, tobacco, cinnamon, and toasted almonds.
Palate: Sweet and beautifully layered. Flavors of vanilla, brown sugar, almonds, and chestnuts with the savory-sweet richness of buttered bread, finished with a hint of spice and a toasted oak.
Finish: Long and lingering with the charred / toasted oak. A distinct fruity sweetness remains, creating an experience reminiscent of an old Cuban rum.
