Mannochmore is a large, understated Speyside distillery, primarily producing base spirit for blends. Its new make is known for delicate floral and fruity notes. In 1996, Mannochmore released the controversial Loch Dhu—famously dark and widely criticized at launch. However, its uniqueness and curious backstory earned it cult status among collectors, adding an unexpected layer of notoriety to the distillery’s otherwise modest reputation.
