Nikka Limited Edition 2025 (Signed by Mr. Hiromi Ozaki)

Released to celebrate the handover of the Chief Blender position in 2025, this expression is co-crafted by former Chief Blender Hiromi Ozaki and current Chief Blender Junji Iseki. It is strictly limited to 8,000 bottles worldwide.

The two masters selected a total of five component whiskies for this blend:

Selected by Mr. Hiromi Ozaki:
1. Miyagikyo: Aromatic Yeast Malt aged for over 20 years
2. Ben Nevis: Vintage whiskies distilled in 1986 and 1991

Selected by Mr. Junji Iseki:
3. Yoichi: Fruity & Ester-rich Type
4. Moji: Grain Whisky

Jointly selected by both Blenders:
5. Yoichi: Mizunara Cask matured whisky

Official Tasting Notes
Aroma: Peaty notes reminiscent of sea breeze, sweet aroma like caramelized Crème brûlée. Pleasant harmony of deep oak note and refreshing notes of green bamboo.
Taste: A combination of fruity sweetness and bitterness like dark chocolate, layered by woody nuances of oak, creating a soft and rich flavor.
Finish: Long-lasting pleasant aftertaste, mellow richness of peat and sweetness reminiscent of dried fruit.

* Moji Distillery is a shochu distillery owned by Nikka Whisky in Fukuoka Prefecture. It began producing grain whisky in 2017, becoming an important base spirit source for Nikka's blends.
* Aromatic Yeast is a novel yeast strain used by the Nikka Group to bring out entirely new aromas, previously showcased in the 2022 "Discovery" series.
