Rock Island Sherry Edition Hong Kong Exclusive

Similar to Douglas Laing's other Blended Malt brands like Scallywag and Big Peat, Rock Island is crafted by blending Single Malt whiskies from various island distilleries, including the well-known Islay, Arran, Jura, and Orkney. This special Hong Kong exclusive edition, however, uniquely features only Sherry cask matured malt whiskies, and is presented at a generous strength of 51.6%!

Tasting Note for reference:

The nose brings a warm, earthy style that develops to streaky, smoked bacon and peated barley. The palate bursts with warming spices, buttered toast and cured meats with an underlying sweetness. The finish lingers with a damp soil character plus mocha, brown sugar and allspice.
