Glencadam
Founded in 1825 in Brechin, Glencadam is a Highland single malt distillery known for its delicate style. Despite its long history, it has only recently gained recognition in the single malt market. Its stills are designed with upward-angled lyne arms to promote reflux, creating a floral and pear drop new make. When matured in refill American oak, the whisky develops a soft, buttery texture that adds a silky richness to the palate.
After being mothballed in 2000, Glencadam was revived by Angus Dundee Distillers in 2003, with its own single malt range launched in 2008. Today, it stands out for its unpeated, clean style, drawing increasing attention from whisky drinkers and establishing itself as a respected Highland classic.
