Laphroaig 15 Year Old

Laphroaig 15 Year Old has returned to the Core Range! According to official information, this marks its return after 10 years, which likely refers to the 200th Anniversary special edition released in 2015. Looking back at previous releases, Laphroaig also released a 15 YO under the Càirdeas series in 2017.

The new 15 Year Old is matured in American Bourbon casks, with the ABV increased from the previously common 43% to 46%. On the nose, it opens with citrus aromas, followed by orange peel, vanilla, spices and peat. On the palate, the smoke and sea salt are more pronounced, while black pepper, spices and sweetness gradually emerge in the background. The finish is led by Laphroaig’s classic peat and sweetness.

Both the old 15 Year Old and the 200th Anniversary edition have long been appreciated by many Laphroaig lovers; hopefully, this new OB can live up to the expectations surrounding Laphroaig 15 YO.
