Legent is an innovative whiskey that blends Japanese craftsmanship with American bourbon tradition. It’s a collaboration between Fred Noe, seventh-generation Jim Beam master distiller, and Shinji Fukuyo, chief blender of Suntory. While classified as a Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Legent’s production defies convention: it is first matured in new charred oak barrels, then finished separately in red wine and sherry casks before being artfully blended by Fukuyo.

This process gives Legent the classic sweetness of bourbon—vanilla, caramel, and oak—while adding the smooth texture and dried fruit notes characteristic of Japanese blending.
