Michter's 10 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey

Michter’s 10 Year Rye is a limited-release Single Barrel Rye, with each barrel individually selected. Some of the barrels chosen for this release are actually older than the stated 10 years.

Its mash bill contains at least 51% rye, with the whiskey matured in new American White Oak barrels. Michter’s places particular emphasis on barrel preparation, allowing the oak to air-dry for an extended period before being toasted and charred, while also using a relatively low 103 Proof barrel entry strength.

The nose offers notes of vanilla, toffee and toasted almond, while the palate brings the classic rye spiciness of cinnamon and black pepper, accompanied by a touch of orange peel. Mature and layered in style.
