Founded in 1897 by a group of blenders, Tamdhu was designed by the renowned architect Charles Doig and praised as one of the most efficient distilleries of its era. After several closures and changes in ownership, it was revived in 2011 by Ian Macleod Distillers, who relaunched it with a focus on 100% Sherry cask maturation, restoring its premium identity.

Tamdhu’s spirit carries rich aromas of honey and apple, with enough body to withstand deep Sherry cask aging. Once a core component of blends like The Famous Grouse, Tamdhu has now gained a solid reputation among Sherry cask enthusiasts for its robust and refined single malts.
