The Chichibu London Edition 2025 is the 8th annual release from the Chichibu distillery, created exclusively for the UK market. The label is the second one in the Musha-e series and, identical to the previous edition, features a special glow-in-the-dark effect. This expression is a small-batch blend of 10 casks, utilizing whiskies matured primarily in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry barrels. It is bottled at 50.5% ABV, with a strict limit of 1,920 bottles.

Founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008, Chichibu Distillery is Japan’s first new independent distillery in over 35 years and is credited with launching the country’s craft whisky movement. Located in Saitama Prefecture, Chichibu’s climate—with hot summers and freezing winters—enhances maturation, resulting in fruity and well-balanced whiskies even at a young age.

The distillery is dedicated to local craftsmanship, handling everything from barley growing and floor malting to on-site cooperage by hand.
