長濱 Nagahama 4 Year Old 2021 Coffee Cask Non Peat Cask 3656

Another piece of the "Fragrant Collaboration" series, this experimental “Coffee Cask” expression is a joint project with Bankoku Coffee, a long-established coffee roaster from Yamagata. Unlike its peated sister cask, Cask #3656 features Nagahama’s non-peated malt as the base. It underwent secondary maturation in bourbon casks previously used to store aromatic coffee beans and was bottled at its natural cask strength. The initial aroma is delightfully reminiscent of a creamy café latte!

Official Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Opens with notes of espresso and dark chocolate, followed by a fragrant wave of vanilla and caramel.

Palate: Dominated by rich coffee flavors, closely followed by creamy sweetness, toffee, and a hint of maple syrup.

Finish: Warm and lingering, with a touch of cacao and the classic sweetness of bourbon casks.
