Cragganmore
Cragganmore Distillery is located near Ballindalloch in Speyside and was founded by John Smith in 1869. Its site was strategically chosen near the Strathspey Railway to facilitate transportation of ingredients and finished goods. Cragganmore is best known for its complex structure and floral-fruity aromas, serving as the Speyside representative in Diageo’s "Classic Malts" range.
The distillery employs uniquely flat-topped stills, which help create a refined and layered spirit. Its signature expression, Cragganmore 12 Year Old, offers notes of heather honey, hazelnuts, and a subtle smokiness—an ideal balance of detail and depth. While not as widely known as larger brands, Cragganmore enjoys a solid reputation among whisky enthusiasts, especially those who appreciate subtle craftsmanship and nuanced flavor.
