Roseisle
Roseisle is a large-scale distillery built by Diageo in the early 21st century, representing a significant leap in modern whisky production. Equipped with 14 stills and a versatile condenser system, Roseisle can be fine-tuned to produce various spirit styles—from light, grassy notes through long fermentation and copper condensers, to nutty, heavier profiles using stainless steel and shorter processing. This high level of control has made it a crucial player in Diageo’s blended whisky recipes.
Since officially launching in 2010, the distillery has become a model of eco-conscious design, with biomass power and heat recovery systems significantly cutting carbon emissions. While no official single malts are currently sold, the spirit produced at Roseisle is used in numerous well-known blends, setting a modern and sustainable benchmark for the industry.
