Mannochmore
Mannochmore is a large, understated Speyside distillery, primarily producing base spirit for blends. Its new make is known for delicate floral and fruity notes. The 12-year-old release in the Flora & Fauna series is one of the few official bottlings, showcasing the distillery’s light and refined style. While not a household name, it has some standout independent releases.
In 1996, Mannochmore released the controversial Loch Dhu—famously dark and widely criticized at launch. However, its uniqueness and curious backstory earned it cult status among collectors, adding an unexpected layer of notoriety to the distillery’s otherwise modest reputation.
