Amrut is a pioneering Indian whisky brand and one of the first to produce single malt whisky in the country. Founded in Bangalore in 1948, the distillery initially focused on rum and spirits before launching its first single malt in 2004, which quickly gained international acclaim. Leveraging India’s high-altitude tropical climate, Amrut achieves rapid maturation, allowing younger whiskies to develop rich fruit notes and oak complexity, challenging the conventional notion that whisky must age for many years.

Amrut’s portfolio includes unpeated, peated, and experimental cask expressions like Portonova and Intermediate Sherry.
