난터우

Nantou is a Taiwanese whisky brand produced by the Nantou Distillery under the state-owned Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation (TTL). It is one of Taiwan’s earliest official single malt whisky distilleries. Located at the base of Bagua Mountain in Nantou, the distillery benefits from a clean water source and warm climate, which accelerates maturation and contributes to its signature tropical fruit profile. Nantou began whisky production in 2008 and launched its first Omar series in 2013.

The Omar line is Nantou’s most recognized, featuring Bourbon cask, Sherry cask, and limited-edition cask finishes. These expressions typically offer notes of ripe banana, mango, and vanilla with a smooth, full-bodied texture. With in-house distillation and expert cask management, Nantou has gradually gained recognition in international spirits competitions, standing out as a source of pride for Taiwanese whisky craftsmanship.
