Released in 2022, a smoky single malt whisky with layers of flavors, matured in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled in 2021. This exceptional expression is the latest and rarest addition to Ardbeg's core range, demonstrating that age cannot tame Ardbeg's smoky power but can yield some of the most complex flavors ever to emerge from the distillery.The aroma features smoked cream, peppermint, toffee, fennel, and pine resin, accompanied by earthy bonfires and fruity notes of banana. The palate is vibrant and peppery, intertwining with sherbet lemon sweetness, candied apples, pears, and oranges, tar, creamy toffee and aniseed. The finish is long and mellow, with lingering cream, fudge, and delicate smoke, showcasing the elegant style of Ardbeg.
