Spot Whiskey is a classic Single Pot Still brand created by Mitchell & Son, a historic wine and spirits merchant in Dublin, Ireland, with origins dating back to 1805. The brand is best known for its color-coded labels denoting maturation length—Green Spot (about 7–10 years), Yellow Spot (12 years), Red Spot (15 years), and Blue Spot (cask strength). This color system originated as internal markings on maturing casks and eventually became a hallmark of the brand.

Produced at the Midleton Distillery, the Spot Whiskey range continues the traditional triple distillation method using a mash of both malted and unmalted barley. Each expression offers a distinct profile—Green Spot is known for its crisp apple and creamy notes, while Yellow Spot adds layers of tropical dried fruits and spice from Malaga wine cask finishing.
