Lochindaal was once a distillery located on Islay, and Bruichladdich Distillery selected ‘Lochindaal’ as the name of one of their whiskies, fitting between Port Charlotte and Octomore in terms of peatiness. The nose of this 12YO is clean and fresh, greatly balanced with sea air, bonfire and seville oranges, not too strong even at a high strength (61.9%). The palate is clear as well - citrus, smoked seawater, tropical fruits. The mid-palate is ashy and salty, and it finishes with hints of lemony oysters and bergamot.
