The Double Double series is themed around its unique four-stage maturation. This 27-year-old expression first ages malt and grain whiskies separately in individual casks for a certain period; then, the two types of whiskies are blended separately and placed back into casks for a second round of maturation; after a certain time, the malt and grain whiskies are blended together and undergo a third maturation; finally, it receives a finishing maturation in Palo Cortado sherry casks.

The aroma is rich, fragrant, with floral notes, along with honeyed fruits and a hint of spice. The palate is silky smooth, with notes of cream, caramel, and honey, accompanied by smoky tea, rich cedarwood, and orange peel. The finish is long and lingering, with flavors of cinnamon and toffee, accompanied by honey, apricot, and a touch of leather and oak.
