As one of the hottest sherry casks matured whisky, this Glendronach 21 Year Old was matured in a combination of the finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and bottled at a nice strength of 48.0%.The nose presents a delicate mix of ripe autumnal fruits, including blackberries and red plums, accompanied by rich Oloroso sherry and candied orange segments. Spiced oatmeal biscuits and toasted oak add weight and balance. The palate offers resolute flavors of fine Oloroso sherry, bitter chocolate sauce over homemade plum pudding, all infused with fabulous spicy notes of cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg. This full-bodied whiskey has smooth tannins and concludes with a long, lingering finish.
