The Double Distillery whisky is a blend from two Komasa family distilleries: Hioki’s Pot Still Whisky and Kanosuke’s Single Malt Whisky. Hioki Distillery, in operation since 1883, began producing grain whisky in 2020 using unmalted and malted barley. Kanosuke Distillery established in 2017 and has already released several single malt whiskies.
On the nose, you'll find sweet notes of vanilla, peach, and melon, with subtle hints of mint and lemongrass. The palate is rich and sweet with citrus flavors, turning into spicy notes of clove and cinnamon. The finish is long, with fruity sweetness, oak, and a touch of bitterness.
