Mars Shinshu Distillery and Christian Drouin Distillery, a Calvados maker in Normandy region of northern France, have begun an experiment of exchanging Calvados and whisky casks to mature whisky in respective locations. This edition was matured in bourbon barrels for more than 3 years then finished in Calvados casks for about two additional years, only 587 bottles were released.
