Though traditionally a blend component, Fettercairn began seriously promoting its single malts in 2009 with the release of Fior and Fasque. These no-age expressions, named after the local estate, laid the foundation for a full range of aged whiskies spanning 12 to 50 years.

In 2018, Whyte & Mackay relaunched Fettercairn with refreshed branding and a clear focus on premium single malts. The result is a well-balanced Highland whisky with fruit and spice nuances that reestablished Fettercairn's place on the single malt map.
