Royal Salute 21 Year Old The Desert Jewel Polo Edition

Royal Salute's "Polo Collection" was first introduced in 2017, with its eighth release, "The Desert Jewel", arriving in 2026. Inspired by Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the Middle East, the gift box incorporates desert landscapes, traditional souks and modern skyscrapers, while the turquoise flagon takes its colour from the waters surrounding the two cities.

This 21-year-old Blended Scotch Whisky was created by Royal Salute's Master Blender Emeritus, Sandy Hyslop, and fully finished in PX Sherry Casks. The PX Sherry Cask finish adds honeyed dried-fruit notes and warming spices, echoing the flavours of dates and dried fruits commonly found in traditional Arabic desserts, extending the Middle Eastern theme beyond the bottle and packaging.

Official Tasting Notes:
Nose: Sweet cranberries, glazed cherries and stewed apples, accompanied by cinnamon buns, almond praline, nutmeg and cinnamon spice.
Palate: Mango, blood orange, dates, treacle tart and marzipan, with orange zest, ginger, pink peppercorns and sweet oak spices.
Finish: Rich and velvety smooth, with ginger spice lasting through the finish.
